The Mass is The Mass is The Mass from the Last Supper/First Mass to the vernacular Aramaic Mass of Pope Peter to the vernacular Greek Mass of Pope Evaristus to the vernacular Latin of Pope Siricius to the Mass of Pope Paul VI.
That is, the Mass is the action of Jesus offering Himself to God as an act of propitiation and we Christian Catholics offer our PART (Petition, Adoration, Reparation Thanksgiving) in the Mass and which PART is made acceptable to God for it is (if you will) swept-up into the Pluperfect self Sacrifice of Jesus on Calvary and brought by the angels to the altar in Heaven and then we redeemed Christian Catholics consume the Holy Eucharist/New Covenant Meal and leave the church to live our lives in such a way that our next PART at Mass will be superior to our former PART at Mass.
All else seems captious caterwauling over, essentially, accidents within the Rite which are open to reform (Mediator Dei #58, if memory serves) by the competent authorities which we are obligated to accept if we are to be in Full Communion with Holy Mother Church; and we do that be maintaining the Bonds of Unity in Worship, Doctrine, and Authority.
